Energy Healing For Clinical Depression | Manic Depression
Energy healing is often thought of as “out there” by people more used to Western medicine. Mainstream depression treatment is for clinical depression and manic depression focuses on depression medicine and therapy. If you talk to your doctor about energy healing, you’re likely to get a condescending look and a warning against trying healing methods that haven’t been “scientifically proven.”
My first experience with energy healing had nothing to do with getting help for my clinical depression and manic depression. I received acupressure treatment (which is like acupuncture only without the needles and is a form of healing that uses the body’s energy meridians to affect healing), for a hip injury.
It would be several more years before I tried energy healing for depression. If only I’d tried it sooner. Energy healing has been the best thing I’ve ever done for my depression symptoms.
So what is energy healing?
Energy healing is a form of healing that acts on the body’s energy channels. This type of healing acts by removing energy blocks in the body.
According to ancient healing wisdom, it is the energy blocks in the body that cause all illness. These blocks may be along the meridian lines of our energy system or in our chakras or in our body’s aura.
If you’ve never looked into energy healing and have no experience with alternative therapies, talk of meridians, chakras, and auras may sound like bizarre stuff. But believe me, these energy systems in your body are as real as your hand. Just because you can’t seem them doesn’t mean they aren’t there. You can’t see your nerves either, can you? But you know they’re there.
Energy Healing Therapy
Energy healing therapy is available in many forms. You can receive energy healing therapy from an energy healing therapy practitioner or you can practice energy healing therapy on yourself.
I have both received energy healing therapy and practiced it on myself. I have tried many forms of energy healing as depression treatment for clinical depression and manic depression.
I’ve received treatment from trained energy healers and distance healers. I’ve used EFT, practiced Qi gong, and used a technique called The Healing Codes. Although I’ve received benefit from all of these energy healing resources, The Healing Codes has been the most powerful for me with Qi gong coming in a close second and EFT coming in a close third. Distance healing has helped me at times, but the cost and the need for continued treatments outweighed the benefits.
What all these energy healing techniques share is how they impact the body. What they do is clear energy imbalances and blockages in the body. Once these imbalances and blockages are removed, the body can reintegrate. In other words, the body and mind can begin to work in harmony to heal.
Depression, in my experience, is quite responsive to energy healing. The advantages of using energy healing therapy to heal depression are many. Unlike depression medicine, energy healing has no side effects (unless you call feeling good a side effect). It can be done in your own home, and it can be affordable if you use a form of energy healing therapy that you practice yourself.
If you want to manage your clinical depression and manic depression and live a life full of joy and energy, take the time to explore the option of energy healing.
