Andrea Rains Waggener  

Andrea Rains Waggener is the author of three books, Healthy, Wealthy & Wise—52 Life-Changing Lessons For the Twenty-first Century, a self help book of inner qualities to develop for a quality life; Alternate Beauty, a novel about an obese woman who wakes up in a universe where fat is considered beautiful; and Dog Parenting—How to Have an Outrageously Happy, Well-adjusted Canine, a how-to book that gives dog lovers all the information they need to be the best dog parents on the block.  Andrea left the legal field in 1989 to pursue a career as a writer.  She’s a former newspaper columnist who now writes and publishes a biweekly e-zine called Living On The Up Beat. 

Diagnosed with bipolar in 1993, Andrea has used both mainstream, Western medicine and alternative treatments to manage her illness.  She’s had the best results with a combination of alternative treatments.  She’s committed to sharing her success with others who suffer from depression, in any form. 

Andrea lives with her husband, Tim, and her dog, Muggins, in a small town on the Washington Coast.  She loves her simple lifestyle and enjoys running her internet and writing business at home.
