Who am I? I’m Andrea (Ande) Rains Waggener. I’m a real person. I’m a person who suffers from clinical depression and manic depression. I’m a person who has experienced situational depression and teen depression. The only kind of depression I haven’t experienced is postpartum depression because I never had a child.
In spite of suffering depression in many forms, I’m a successful and happy person. I’m the author of three books, Healthy, Wealthy, & Wise—52 Life-changing Lessons For the Twenty-First Century, Alternate Beauty, and Dog Parenting—How to Have an Outrageously Happy, Well-adjusted Canine. I’m happily married. I live in a home I love near the ocean. I have a life I enjoy tremendously.
I still have depression symptoms, but I know how to give myself the depression help I need. I’ve created this site to help you understand the form of depression you’re facing and to give you information about depression treatment resources that work. I have firsthand knowledge of many of these resources—I’ve either have used or am using them now myself.
